Plates Not Powering on? Are they Charging? Try These fixes!
If you are having trouble getting your force plates to power on, please follow these steps:
- Ensure the plates are getting charged when plugged into the wall. The plates may just be dead
- For Gen5 plates, your Magnetic Charger may be the cause
- Please unplug the Magnetic Charge port, plug it back in, and try again (sometimes flipping the way the magnetic charger is plugged in will do the trick
- If that does not work, please try using your tablet charger (USB-C) to charge the plates (see the yellow flashing LED light)
- If that resolves the issue, please email techsupport@hawkindynamics.com to get a new magnetic charger ASAP!
- If not, try plugging the plates into a different outlet and also try another charging cable.
- Ensure you are plugging into the "Charge" port and not the "Comms" Port- GEN 3 Plates Only
- Try plugging into a different USB wall charger adapter (block).
- Last trick is to hold the power button for 30+ seconds to attempt a battery reset. Your battery may be stuck in power save mode. The power button reset will occasionally do the trick


- If not, you need to email us at techsupport@hawkindyanmics.com so we can get a call scheduled to open up the primary plate. We do this to complete some battery maintenance, which will almost always resolve power/battery-related issues
