Overview
- The Drop Landing test is useful to assess an athletes ability to land and stabilize.

Setup
- In the app, select "Drop Landing" from the testing menu.
- Input measured height of the drop landing platform (box height) in centimeters or inches (depending on your app settings).
- Have the selected athlete stand on a box directly behind the plates with their hands firmly attached to their hips.
Instructions
- On the beep and flash, cue the athlete to step out level to the box and drop to the plates and stick the landing.
- Have the athlete hold the landing position for 1 sec before returning to a standing position
- Press save following each test
- Repeat for desired number of tests
- This test can be done with a Arm Swing
- Have the selected athlete stand on the box with their arms fully extended overhead
- On the beep and flash cue the athlete to throw their arms down on the descent.
- Tag it " Arm Swing"
Coaching Cues
- Instruct the athlete to "stick the landing"
Test Considerations
- Athlete must land on plates and hold still to get full landing and time to stabilization metrics.
- It is important to standardize testing protocols in order to accurately compare results, including:
- Warmup
- Instructions/intent
